What’s the difference between coaching and mentoring?
Coaching is a short-term, face-to-face support program to help achieve a specific set of goals. Coaching programs usually last 4-16 weeks and focus on tasks and results. In contrast, Mentoring provides ongoing, long-term personal or professional support, and is usually conducted over the phone. Mentoring programs focus on the overall development of the individual, rather than on the achievement of short-term goals.
